How can I hook my camcorder to my computer through a/v jacks so I can view the videos on my computer screen? - hi8 vs digital8 giant headphones

I have a Hi8 video camera and want to be able to connect my computer so I can see it there and copy the video you can record videos on my computer. I also have a program to extract the videos (or Fraps work)?
